TdR is casting! Read on for audition information for our Spring production, Vive La Fontaine 2023!
We’re looking for a diverse cast of multi-skilled artists with strong storytelling skills and a range of musical, dance, and/or puppetry experience; facility with French is a strong plus. We will be casting performers and understudies.
First round of auditions are ON ZOOM on Saturday, September 17th from 12-5 pm (you will be assigned a 15 minute audition slot). In person callbacks are TBD. (If you’re not available for auditions on the 17th, you may send a self-tape through wetransfer.com to info@theatredureve.com.)
What to prepare: a short monologue in English, a short reading or monologue in French, a song, and a short demonstration of any instrument or other skill. If you need a French monologue, please prepare one of these fables HERE or HERE.

The show: our beloved company-created classic, Vive La Fontaine, is a fun, hour-long romp through the fables of Jean de la Fontaine through the use of puppetry, song, dance, spoken word, and other storytelling techniques, For an example of the show, check out our YouTube channel HERE.

Rehearsals begin February 20, 2023 and will likely be evenings and weekends.
Pay: $300/ week for non-equity artists
Performances are March 17 – April 2nd.
NOTE: There will be 10 am student matinees Tuesday-Friday, March 21 – 31.
