Bonne Année from Théâtre du Rêve! We’re kicking off 2021 with our newest Virtual Salon, Caribbean Cruise: A theatrical tour of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Haiti, Sunday, January 10 at 3 p.m. Please join us!
TdR Salons are a great opportunity to meet our artists and dig deeper into the themes we’re exploring. Each gathering includes scenes and readings (performed in English and/or French), followed by lively discussion. Salons are usually hosted in private homes; this season’s Virtual Salon Series is designed to create an atmosphere of connection and inquiry in an online setting. We’re thrilled to announce that, for this Salon, we’re partnering with the Jacmel Arts Center, an inclusive arts space in Jacmel, Haiti. We’ll hear from Haitian artists and performers, learn about the Center’s goal of “full liberation through the arts,” and experience an original video by the Center’s theatre troupe, created for this Salon. We’ll also have performances by Atlanta artists Vallea Woodbury and Dalyla McGee, and dramaturgy by Amina McIntyre.
