We’re thrilled to announce the return of IN-PERSON camp this summer! TdR’s Été des Rêves (Summer of Dreams) will take place in a Covid-safe environment in Midtown Atlanta, June 7-18, 2021. Come create with us!
Été des Rêves is the kind of summer camp where young people perform, laugh, play, and learn from passionate, professional theatre artists. Our goal is 100% happy campers!
This year’s Été des Rêves theme is Francophonie. Campers will explore the French-speaking world with both in-person teaching artists and guest artists, joining virtually from all over! Bilingual staff are there to help campers parler français at the level that’s right for them – so, whether your young person is a native French speaker or just learning to say “bonjour”, they’ll have fun in our safe, bilingual environment.
There are two Été des Rêves sessions:
- June 7 – 11, 2021, for rising 7th-12th graders
- June 14 – 18, 2021, for rising 2nd-6th graders
Did we mention that it’s safe? Yep, we’re working hard to create a Covid-safe but super-fun environment at our new location, the Synchronicity Theatre Annex in midtown Atlanta!
Our team is led by the one and only Caitlin Roe, TdR’s education expert. During the school year, she’s a full-time French immersion teacher Globe Academy, who also acts regularly at several Atlanta-area theatres. Caitlin created our Été des Rêves program, and continues to build it each year. She’s joined by Chick Durrett-Smith, who directs our camp performances, and Camp Assistant Jared Brodie.
If you’re a parent, a grandparent, a teacher, or a neighbor to curious, creative young people, we invite you to dream big with us this summer at Été des Rêves. You can find all the camp info and a registration link on our Education page. See you at camp!
